Destinations of Coconut Oil Export in June

Export of coconut oil in June consisted of 41,000 MT crude coconut oil, 11,267 MT cochin (refined, bleached) oil, and 12,519 MT RBD (refined, bleached, deodorized or fully refined) oil, the combined revenue of which was USD63.329 million.
Europe remained a market leader with volume at 29,292 MT accounting for 45.2% of the coconut oil export mix. This was followed by the USA with uptake at 27,045 MT (41.7%), China 4,027 MT (6.2%), Japan 2,748 MT (4.2%), Malaysia 881 MT (1.4%). The rest took in much lower tonnage and were mainly RBD oil.
Export of crude coconut oil went to Europe and the USA. Europe took in 27,000 MT (Netherlands 22,000, Spain 5,000) while the USA the remaining 14,000 MT. On the other hand, export of cochin oil went to the USA and Japan. The former held 8,567 MT and the balance to Japan 2,700 MT.
RBD coconut oil had diverse market. For this month, top buyer was the USA at 4,478 MT, closely trailed by China at 4,027 MT, and Europe at 2,291 MT (Greece 2,040, United Kingdom 69, Spain 59, Poland 44, Slovenia 23, and Germany, Italy, Belgium at 19 apiece). Other destinations were Malaysia at 881 MT, Taiwan 151 MT, Australia 121 MT, Pakistan 113 MT, Sri Lanka 100 MT, Singapore 72 MT, Bangladesh 69 MT, Canada 66 MT, Japan 48 MT, Ecuador 25 MT, Vietnam 24 MT, Dominican Republic 20 MT, Indonesia 10 MT, Kenya 8 MT, South Korea 7 MT, Mexico 6 MT.
