Performance of Philippine Top Non-Traditional Coconut Products Exports in November (Part 2)

Following shows details about the performance of the seven other leading non-traditional exports (ranked 11th-17th), namely Coconut Milk Powder; Coco Peat/Dust; Coco Chips; Nata de Coco; Coir & Coir Products; Young Coconut Meat (chips, dried, sliced); Coco Vinegar.
COCO MILK POWDER generated USD581,785 from sales of 99 MT (115 MT last year). Topping the buyers’ list was the USA with uptake at 40 MT (40.1%), trailed by Australia at 28 MT (27.7%), China 25 MT (25.7%), France 3 MT (3.5%) and South Korea 3 MT (3.0%).
COCO PEAT/DUST shipment of 8,630 MT (7,086 MT) earned USD436,948. Virtually all the month’s sales went to China which took in 8,616 MT (99.8%). The rest went to Japan at 14 MT.
Export of COCO CHIPS turned in USD318,684, the value of 153 MT traded for the month (no export last year). Bulk of shipment representing 83.2% of the pack or 127 MT went to the USA. The balance of 16.8% or 26 MT was delivered to Vietnam.
Overseas purchases of NATA DE COCO of 173 MT (221 MT) worth USD169,868 chiefly went to Japan at 96 MT (55.6%). Other importing countries were USA at 39 MT (22.7%), Australia 29 MT (16.5%), and three others which took in between 0.6 MT and 6 MT. The latter group consisted of Netherlands, Hong Kong, and Singapore.
YOUNG COCONUT MEAT (chips, dried, sliced) had turnover of USD113,280 from orders of 32 MT (no export last year). China was leading buyer responsible for (46.9%) or 15 MT. Trailing her were Canada at 5 MT (16%), USA 5 MT (15%), United Kingdom 4 MT (12.5%), Australia 2 MT (7.7%) and Saudi Arabia 1 MT (2.3%).
External trade of COCO VINEGAR of 67 MT (5 MT) registered receipts of USD106,920. The USA was principal market at 23 MT (34.5%), tracked by Canada 19 MT (28.9%), Saudi Arabia and Australia at 10 MT apiece (15%), New Zealand 4 MT (6.2%), and Singapore 1 MT (1.1%).
